KOREAN ART EXHIBITION 2018
On Thursday, 8 August was the Opening Night of the Korean Art Exhibition at the High Street Library, Strathfield. This art exhibition was curated by Grace Choi, Director of Star House Art and Music College
The exhibition featured artworks by members of the Association of Korean Visual Artists in Australia, Korean Women's Art Society and Australian Korean artists.
It was a fantastic evening as there were over 200 students, parents and members of the community attending. Thanks to Strathfield Council and the dignitaries that attended Hon. Julia McKay, Strathfield Mayor Cr. Gulian Vaccari , Dr Paul Burgis, Cr Sang Ok and Lisa Moloney which made the evening more special.
Artists, students and the community came to the exhibition to celebrate the Australian Korean culture and see amazing the talented artists and their artworks. The brilliant artworks from Star House students, and what a showcase it was! The students were privileged and honoured to have their artworks exhibited.
Students from Star House Art and Music College- Bill Jeon, Jasmine Cho, Joshua Seo, Julia Jeong, Yehna Jeong and Grace Cho, proudly represented their college as volunteer to help with the organisation of the day and they did an amazing job.
Star House's music star Jasmine Cho performed her 2018 Harmony Day State Winning Song at the exhibition- Growing as One.
Congratulations to ALL the exhibiting artists from Star House Art and Music College. The artworks looked brilliant at the exhibition.
Congratulations to Eugene Song from Homebush West Public School who won the People's Choice award from the Korean Art Exhibition.
